Jabalpur. Jabalpur airport in Madhya Pradesh has received a bomb threat. There was a stir after receiving the threat via email. The terminal was evacuated in a hurry. But no explosive material was found during the investigation. At present, the police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Jabalpur airport received a bomb threat via email. The threat read, ‘Explosives have been placed inside the airport building and there will be a blast soon.’ There was a stir after receiving the email. Security agencies, bomb squad, police and fire brigade team reached the spot.
Police and security agencies immediately evacuated the terminal. Searches were conducted inside and outside the airport for about three hours, but no explosive material was found. Khamaria police station has registered a case against the unknown accused. At present, the police is searching for the person who spread panic by threatening with a bomb.
Jaipur International Airport on Sunday faced a similar situation, which set off alarm bells ringing in the security circle.
The latest threat was issued to the authorities through email, which said explosives had been placed inside the airport building which will be hit by a blast soon. In the email, the unknown sender further warned that if the building is not evacuated, everyone will be killed.
The police were alerted by the authorities. Soon, the police and security personnel cordoned off the area. DCP East Tejaswani Gautam said the police, fire brigade, bomb squad and civil defence team launched a search operation.
