Satna: The administration of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh has become very particular about anyone extending his or her business or makeshift shelter onto the road. Later, the authorities recognized and removed structures in Kothi Nagar. The administration has warned violators in the strongest terms, telling them that further attempts will not be acceptable. Depicting the nature of such operations, the anti-encroachment drive in the Kothi Nagar area was conducted under the direction of SDM Rahul Siladiya. In this campaign, the temporary and permanent structures were demolished on government land with the help of JCB machines and labourers.
SDM Siladiya assured all the people who have invaded the government land, that legal action is being taken against them. With a strong point, he warned that none of the encroachers would be let off the hook in any case.
Pooja Dwivedi, the chief municipal officer of Kothi, added that if the encroachers do not remove them themselves, the administration will seek a court order to address the issue of encroachments. The drive taken against the encroachers, especially in its night action, involved the police in large numbers led by Kothi Station In-charge Ashok Kumar alias Rupendra Rajput. The police maintained security so that the operation was without hitch or protest. Further, the campaign was conducted actively by the ‘Kothi Tehsildar’ Kamlesh Singh Bhadauria.
The actions of the administration are a part of the government’s endeavours to regain the constructed territories and ensure order in society. The authorities remain trying to stop more and more improper occupations and have stated to the public that they will keep on vigilantly inspecting and responding to unlawful occupations.
