Bhopal: After facing defeat in the elections in Madhya Pradesh, the love for official residences among the dignitaries remains unshaken. The Home Department has sent a list to the Chief Minister’s Office due to the reluctance of these dignitaries, creating a headache for accommodating new legislators. In the capital city of Bhopal, there are approximately 84 applicants vying for 22 bungalows.
The bungalow election loss of PCC chief Jeetu Patwari has led to its vacancy. Former Assembly Speaker and senior legislator Girish Gautam has requested this bungalow. Due to the non-availability of the bungalow, he has been allocated residence in the MLA Rest House. Gautam previously had B-7 bungalow in the 74-bungalow complex reserved for Assembly Speakers.
Similarly, about 30 legislators have not vacated government residences since the notice. Among those who need to vacate include Gopilal Jatav, Raksha Santaram Saroniya, Amarsingh, Subhash Ramcharitra, Nandini Maravi, Devi Singh Sayam, Brahma Bhalavi, Ramchandra Dangi, Ram Dangore, Sumitra Devi Kasdekar, Dilip Kumar Makwana, Raghunath Singh Malviya, Tamlal Raghujee Sahare, Murali Morwal.
Additionally, Jajpal Singh Jajjee, Bharat Singh Kushwah, Mahesh Rai, Bejnath Kushwah, Tarvar Singh, Mukesh Rawat Patel, Nilesh Vinod Daga, Rakesh Giri, Ajay Tandon, Shashank Krishna Bhargava, Sharadendu Tiwari, and Rakesh Pal Singh have not yet vacated the legislator rest house. Meanwhile, 18 pool bungalows also remain vacant. Legislators who need to vacate these include Pradyumn Singh Lodhi, Sanjay Shukla, Bhupendra Maravi, Babusingh Tanwar, Alok Chaturvedi, Praveen Pathak, Jeetu Patwari, Sanjay Shah Makdaai, Jalam Singh Patel, K.P.
