Bhopal: The Jabalpur High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the increasing corona infection in Madhya Pradesh. A double bench of Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and PK Kaurav has sought a detailed report from the state government regarding the preparations for the 3rd wave. The next hearing will be held after 2 weeks. Taking suo motu cognizance of the irregularities in Covid treatment and arbitrariness of private hospitals, the High Court has started hearing as public interest litigation.

1577 corona positives have been found in the state in 24 hours. The number of active cases has increased to 5044. 618 new corona patients have been found in Indore and 347 in Bhopal. The infected found in the capital include 28 children, 4 doctors from GMC and Health Department and 2 IAS. A 28-year-old woman who returned from Dubai has been found infected too. So far, 22 people who have returned from abroad have been found infected. The third wave of corona in Indore has reached a dire situation. The infection has spread 20 times in 15 days. In just 8 days, 2360 new patients have been found.

Experts fear that the peak of corona infection may come in Indore only in the next 7 days. Dr. Nishant Khare, a member of the District Disaster Management Committee, says that the number of patients will definitely increase in the coming days. This increase would be unexpected. In the previous wave, a maximum of 1800 cases were reported every day, this time up to 5000 cases can come daily.

Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang has said that all preparations have been made to deal with Corona. Oxygen has been arranged at every level. One month’s medicine has been purchased. Corona cases are increasing, but the good thing is that the effect of vaccination is visible. Most of the cases are asymptomatic. Doctors, nurses and health workers will not be able to refuse to work In view of the increasing corona in the state; the government has implemented ESMA (Essential Services Maintenance Act).
