Bangalore: Recently, a young woman in Hubbali was murdered, which escalated the tensions and concerns of the people related to law and order. The Home Minister of Karnataka, G Parameshwara announced that there will be investigations related to this matter done by the police force and other required forces. Anjali Ambiger (20 years old), was allegedly killed by a man, who was 22 years old, after she rejected the marriage proposal given by him. Before this incident, a student named Neha Hirenath was also murdered on 18 April.
The recurrent incidents were well acknowledged by Parameshwara, who then said there would be a thorough inquiry into the possible possibilities of the mistakes by the officials and the underlying causes of this issue. He was adamant about knowing the truth. Another DGP will be transferred to Hubballi on duty to probe the recent tragedy and present his final report to Parameshwara, who may even be concerned about the visit.
The BJP, on the other hand, has strengthened its attack on the state government under the leadership of its principal BJP opponent, Minister Parameshwara, by alleging the failure of the state government to maintain law and order and demanding his removal from the ministry. The party’s cry comes against the backdrop of deteriorating administration directives where the citizens accuse the concerned powers of being powerless.
As proof of the government stand-up, Parameshwara pointed out the strict punishment for the perpetrators, which will be promptly issued. The report further informs that the case officer suspended for quarreling in handling the case is also expected to undergo more disciplinary actions.
The family of the victim, on the other hand, has called attention to the fact that the accused had made previous threats specifying that he could kill the victim. The details might raise the point that police response is inappropriate for some reasons. Even though no formal complaint was articulated, Parameshwara recognizes the worry being given by the family about the commitment to the right procedure, and a full investigation is being put in place to see if the service delivery was consistent with standards and operational plans.
