According to the police of Haryana, three individuals have been arrested after the deadly Haryana road accident leaving six children dead. The arrests involve that of the school principal and the driver of the private bus involved in ferrying the victims which is counterproductive to developing a safe community.

The accident occurred near Unhani village in Kanina at approximately 8:30 am on Thursday. The bus, carrying 40 children, veered out of control and collided with a tree before overturning. Among the deceased are identified as Satyam, Yuvraj, Vansh, Ricky, Anshu, and Yakush. Twenty children sustained injuries in the crash.

The probe proved that it was Dharmender who was the road rage driver, as initially surmised. The doctor in charge of the medical examinations would later confirm the blood test’s proof that the suspect had been intoxicated at that particular time. Dharmendra the person behind the wheel, was arrested just at the spot of the accident. In addition, they arrested both the principal, Deepti, and the school official, Hoshiar Singh.

Reports suggest that concerned parents had previously raised complaints about the driver’s behavior to the school authorities. Despite this, no action was taken to address the issue. Some parents from Kheri village even intervened on Thursday morning, confiscating the bus keys and informing the principal. However, their concerns were allegedly disregarded, with the principal assuring them of a driver change starting the next day.

The tragedy immediately brought about traditional and special precautions from governmental officials as well as leaders at all levels of the political ladder. Styling myself on the discussion of education in Haryana, Education Minister Seema Trikha has asked the school administration to provide an explanation for preventing students from attending classes on a holiday. Minister of Transportation Aseem Goel shared this information, which had occurred a few weeks before due to documentation inconsistencies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have expressed their condolences, along with several political figures including BJP Chief J.P. Nadda and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
