Raipur: Chhattisgarh has experienced winter, and the extreme cold in November set a new record. Sunday saw the season’s lowest temperature, 16.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature in the capital, Raipur, was 17.5 degrees Celsius on November 11, 2023. In the city’s outskirts, the temperature fell even lower to 15.2 degrees.

The weather has cleared across the state, and clouds have almost disappeared from the sky. Due to lack of moisture in the air, the average temperature of day and night has fallen by 2 to 3 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of further drop in temperature in the next three days, which might increase the effect of cold. At present, the wind speed has been recorded at only 1 kilometer per hour, but as its speed increases, a sharp drop in the temperature is expected.

With the entry of north-eastern winds, there are signs of increasing cold in the state. At present the wind speed is slow, which causes the temperature to slightly drop. However, according to the Meteorological Department, frigid temperatures will rise quickly as wind speeds rise. Over the following three days, there will probably be a sharp drop in the minimum temperature.
