New Delhi: Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced on Friday that the Shriram International Airport in Ayodhya will be operational by the end of this month. He also disclosed plans for a bullet train segment to commence within three years. Prior to this, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw released a video on Thursday showcasing the upcoming Ahmedabad Bullet Train Terminal at the Sabarmati Multi-Modal Transport Hub.
Scindia shared that he recently inspected the Ayodhya’s Shriram Airport project with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Emphasizing his daily monitoring of the project, he stated that he is closely overseeing its progress. The airport’s inauguration will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is expected to inaugurate the facility alongside the commencement of flight operations.
In a broader context, the announcement aligns with the government’s focus on enhancing transportation infrastructure across the country. The ambitious plan includes the development of not only airports but also high-speed rail networks like the bullet train system. Scindia’s revelation about the bullet train segment indicates a continued commitment to improving connectivity and modernizing transportation services.
The civil aviation minister’s visit to Ayodhya gains significance as it coincides with the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22. With the Prime Minister scheduled to attend the temple inauguration, the timely completion of the airport becomes crucial for facilitating air travel to and from Ayodhya. This move aligns with the broader vision of promoting tourism, boosting economic activities, and facilitating easier access for pilgrims visiting the holy city.
In another development, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s release of the video showcasing the Ahmedabad Bullet Train Terminal underscores the government’s multi-modal approach to transportation. The strategic integration of various modes of transportation, including bullet trains, airports, and terminals, reflects a comprehensive effort to build a modern and efficient transportation infrastructure in the country.
As the government continues to prioritize infrastructure development, these initiatives are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation in India, promoting economic growth, and enhancing connectivity on a national scale.
