NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Delhi on January 3, 2025. These projects, aimed at improving infrastructure and living conditions, align with his commitment to “Housing for All.”
At Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 1,675 newly built flats under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project for residents of JJ clusters. Eligible beneficiaries will receive keys to their new homes during the event. The project, led by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), seeks to provide better living environments with modern amenities.
The PM will also inaugurate two urban redevelopment initiatives: the World Trade Centre (WTC) at Nauroji Nagar and GPRA Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar. The WTC features over 34 lakh square feet of premium commercial space with eco-friendly provisions like solar energy and rainwater harvesting. Meanwhile, the Sarojini Nagar redevelopment includes 2,500 residential units across 28 towers, designed with advanced sewage treatment plants and solar-powered waste management.
In Dwarka, the PM will inaugurate the CBSE Integrated Office Complex, built at a cost of ₹300 crore. This eco-conscious facility includes an auditorium, advanced data centers, and a comprehensive water management system.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for three educational projects under Delhi University worth ₹600 crore. These include academic blocks in Surajmal Vihar and Dwarka, and the Veer Savarkar College in Najafgarh, equipped with state-of-the-art learning facilities.
