Delhi Kaushal Vikas Yojana: The Ministry of Minority Affairs and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee have launched the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana worth Rs 100 crore for the youth of Delhi. Under this ambitious scheme of PM Narendra Modi, 29600 youth will be given financial assistance after training the youth. On Saturday, an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at Gurudwara Shri Rakabganj Sahib to implement this scheme. The aim of this initiative is to make the youth employable by training them according to the needs of the industries. Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Delhi Industry Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee officials were present on this occasion.
On this occasion, Delhi’s Industry Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, our aim is that no youth should be left behind in his career just due to lack of money. This scheme will give a new opportunity to the youth of not only Delhi but the entire country.
At the same time, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “This scheme is an important step towards increasing employment. In this, students will be given financial assistance, as well as stipend. Our target is to train 31,600 youth and make them employable. The government also clarified that this initiative will be implemented across the country under the ‘PM Vikas Yojana’, so that more and more youth can get its benefits.
Benefits will be available through online portal
- Eligible candidates will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme through a special portal.
- The portal will be operated jointly by the Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
- Students will be given training as per modern technology and industrial requirements.
- After completing the training, the youth will also get certificate and employment assistance.
Mentorship and placement will also help.
The government will not only provide training but will also help the trained youth in getting jobs. For this, mentorship program and placement facility will also be provided so that the youth can get employment immediately after their training.
Another step towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’
Under this scheme, youth will be taught technical and vocational skills, which will not only enable them to get a job but will also enable them to start their own business. This initiative will prove to be a boost to the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Skill India’ campaign.
