According to eyewitnesses, the fire was so intense that it engulfed several slums within seconds. The flames and smoke were visible from afar. Local residents immediately alerted the fire department, following which several fire engines arrived at the scene and efforts began to control the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
