New Delhi: A suspect was detained by police on Wednesday, May 22, after threatening graffiti against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was found in several of the city’s well-known metro stations. At the Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations, the culprit, identified as 33-year-old Ankit Goyal, allegedly left messages.
Ankit Goyal lives in Bareali and works for a well-known bank. He is a very intelligent man who is not affiliated with any political party. According to the local police, a medical evaluation is necessary to validate the probability that he is not in a fit mental state. Delhi Police’s metro squad has opened a case and is looking into the situation.
According to an officer, “he is suspected to be the same individual who posted the images of the graffiti on his Instagram account.” The police officer added that the Instagram account “ankit.goel_91” was used to distribute images of specific statements scrawled on metro trains and at stops.

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) was accused of planning against Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, by the ruling party earlier. AAP MP Sanjay Singh claimed in a press conference that the BJP has been in a panic ever since Kejriwal was released from custody on bond and that this has led to a “conspiracy” of graffiti.
“The BJP is preparing to put down Arvind Kejriwal with a lethal attack. This plot originates directly from the prime minister’s office. AAP MP Sanjay Singh continued, “There is a written threat of violence on Kejriwal ji at the Metro stations in Rajiv Chowk and Patel Nagar.” He continued by saying that if something were to happen to the Kejriwal PMO, PM Modi and the BJP would be held accountable.
