New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health is in jail; leaders from the India Alliance will hold a protest rally at Jantar Mantar today. The rally has been planned from 1 PM to 5 PM and will mainly consist of deliberating over the health problems of Kejriwal and a demonstration against his arrest. AAP’s Sanjay Singh, during a tweet on Monday, revealed that Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC, DMK, and other parties are concerned with the treatment affixed to Kejriwal and how it will affect governance.
During the meeting, AAP alleged that the authorities are plotting against the health of their party leader, who is currently detained in Tihar Jail. To back up his point, Singh claimed that the rally along with India Alliance, was to protest for justice and show support for Kejriwal. As per the references, this rally is the latest to demonstrate the united front of the regional opposition parties against what they consider an exploitation of the central investigative agencies by the BJP leading central government to allegedly torture an incumbent Chief Minister.
AAP leader Atishi, who is a minister in the Delhi Government, accused the BJP party of planning to harm CM Arvind Kejriwal while he is in jail. She also accused that upon coming to know of his possible release by the Supreme Court in the bail case, BJP goons arrested him through the CBI.
As with this rally and the continual political debate, the confrontation between the Delhi Government and the central authorities, the expressed political conflict, and the question of how the opposition is treated are getting more dramatic.
