New Delhi: Government school guest teachers in Noida have yet to receive their salaries for the month of December. Expressing concern over the delayed payments, the President of the All India Guest Teachers Association, Arun Dedha, and the General Secretary, Shoaib Rana, have written letters to the Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, and Education Minister. According to their communication, the salaries of guest teachers are typically disbursed after the completion of the month. However, the salary bills for December are reportedly pending with the relevant authorities, specifically the Principal Education Officer since January 1, 2024. Despite the lapse of time, the teachers have not received their salaries, prompting a call for swift resolution to address this pressing issue.

In a related development, demands have been raised for an increase in the remuneration of guest teachers serving in schools under the Directorate of Education. The teachers are seeking a raise in their allowances to ensure fair compensation for their contributions to the education system. This plea emphasizes the importance of recognizing the efforts of guest teachers and providing them with improved financial incentives for their services.

The situation highlights the challenges faced by guest teachers in government schools, who play a crucial role in the education system. The delay in salary disbursement not only impacts the financial well-being of these educators but also raises concerns about the recognition and support extended to guest teachers.

It is expected that the authorities, in response to the letters from the guest teachers’ association, will take prompt action to resolve the salary payment issue and address the broader concerns regarding the remuneration of guest teachers in government schools. Ensuring timely and fair compensation for educators is essential for maintaining the morale and effectiveness of the teaching workforce, which, in turn, contributes to the overall quality of education in the region.
