New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted searches at Aam Admi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh’s residence in connection with the money laundering case linked to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam, a day after a court allowed two accused in the case to turn approver.
AAP Spokesperson said, “Since Sanjay Singh was continuously raising questions on the issue of PM Modi and Adani, this is the reason why raids are being conducted at his residence”. She further confirmed that nothing has been found at his residence previously and nothing shall be found today.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave an open challenge on social media platform Twitter. “Kejriwal’s fourth pass gives OPEN CHALLENGE to Raja. Just as nothing came out in all previous inquiries, similarly if nothing comes out in this inquiry too, will you resign for making a false inquiry?”, tweeted AAP on its official Twitter account with a video of Arvind Kejriwal addressing the press this morning.
It has been alleged that the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licenses to liquor traders allowed cartelisation and favoured certain dealers, a charge strongly condemned by the AAP. Earlier on Tuesday, a Delhi court allowed Raghav Magunta, son of YSR Congress Party Lok Sabha MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Delhi-based businessman Dinesh Arora to turn approver in money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam.
