New Delhi: Delhi’s Patiala House today received a bomb threat ahead of NIA’s second arrest in the Red Fort blast. Although the threat turned out to be a hoax, it is worth noting that Jasbir Bilal Wani had to appear before the Principal Sessions Judge.

Secretary to Saket Bar, Advocate Anil Basoya, stated that the court had been suspended for two hours, after which the operations shall resume. Secretary of the New Delhi Bar Association, Advocate Tarun Rana, further informed that the bomb threat was received on emails to the District courts complexes. The bomb threats turned out to be a hoax, adding that there is no element of fear, and the “courts are functioning smoothly.”

Jasir Bilal Wani, NIA’s second arrest in the Red Fort bomb blast, is set to be produced before Delhi’s Patiala House. Jasir Bilal alias Danish, from Qazigund, was arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with his uncle, for questioning on Saturday.

All three court complexes were vacated immediately, and security arrangements were strengthened, with teams deployed for precautionary checks. The Bomb Disposal Squad is currently scanning the Saket Court premises.
