New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police have released a traffic advisory for Delhi and NCR residents due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Dwarka on Wednesday, May 22. As preparations have been made to start the School and College Students’ rally from DDA Park in Dwarka Sector-14, opposite Vegas Mall, at 6 PM, the police have advised people to avoid using certain roads due to little space for crowd movement and controlling traffic near the venue.

As per the directive, major traffic shift measures will be taken at ISKON Chowk, Om Apartment Chowk, DXR T-point on Golf Course Road, Dwarka Mor, Kargil Chowk and Rajpuri Kha. These measures are intended to help maintain free and safe traffic during the event. The specific roads that these traffic rules recommended avoiding include Dwarka Road Number 201, NSUT T-point to Vegas Mall up to Peepal Chowk, Road Number 205 and Dwarka Road Number 210.

Passengers travelling to bus stands, railway stations, or airports are advised to be very careful with their travel by avoiding densely crowded places and planning to avoid any lateness, as it can lead to many complications. The advisory reminds the public to be patient, obey traffic regulations and traffic guidelines, and follow the directions of traffic police deployed at different junctions consequent to the increased traffic congestion.

As the preparation for the rally, much attention will be given to the traffic police to allow free and smooth traffic flow with little interference to the public. The police are also trying their best to transmit accurate and timely information on traffic status through various media guides to Motorists and asking them to constantly be aware of updated traffic situations and plan their routes well.

This is one of several similar events being held in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election in the national capital on May 25. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi recently had another face-to-face with northeast Delhi on Saturday, which shows there is still another push on the campaign.
