New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has addressed Trinamool leader Mahua Moitra’s plea contesting the eviction notice for her government-allocated residence post-Lok Sabha expulsion. The court advises her to approach the Directorate of Estates. Moitra had sought to quash the eviction notice, urging the court to allow her to retain the house beyond January 7. The court, disposing of her plea, directs her to seek permission from the Directorate of Estates, emphasizing lawful eviction steps. She challenges her expulsion in the Supreme Court, which issues notice to the Lok Sabha secretary general, seeking a reply within three weeks.
