Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation, Delhi Consumer Cooperative Wholesale Stores The Excise Department has said that complaints like overcharging, adulteration or selling liquor to minors by shopkeepers will be taken seriously.

The Excise Department has taken a tough stance and issued a new advisory for liquor sellers. The department clarified that any kind of negligence at liquor shops will not be tolerated and that immediate resolution of customer complaints is mandatory. The department took this step after a recent case of liquor adulteration came to light in Delhi’s Narela area. Currently, a total of 793 licensed liquor shops are operating in the capital.

In fact, a serious case of alcohol adulteration recently came to light in the Narela area of ​​Delhi. Employees at a liquor store operated by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) were caught red-handed adulterating liquor. It is alleged that the employees were preparing to fill empty bottles of expensive brands with cheap liquor and sell them at a higher price.

Following the incident, the department took immediate action and suspended six officers. The investigation into the entire matter has been intensified. The government swung into action as soon as the incident came to light, issuing strict instructions to all relevant agencies.
