Delhi Air Pollution: The pollution situation in Delhi remains serious. A layer of smog and pollution has engulfed Delhi. This morning (Saturday) the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 200 in most areas. Due to the increasing pollution, people are facing difficulty in breathing. Anand Vihar’s AQI is more than 400 and is in the most serious category. Due to this, people are facing difficulty in breathing. Meanwhile, under GRAP-2, water is being sprayed through sprinkler machines at various places in Delhi.
Due to rising air pollution, a red AQI alert has been issued in five areas, while an orange alert has been issued in 28 areas. However, the number of red alert areas is rapidly decreasing. Regarding the weather, Delhi will remain partly cloudy today. The maximum temperature is expected to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 17 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, a red alert for pollution has been declared in five areas, where AQI has been recorded between 300 to 400. Among these areas, the highest AQI has been recorded in Shadipur-328, Bawana-318, Wazirpur-314, Chandni Chowk-304 and Punjabi Bagh at 301. Apart from these areas, an orange alert for pollution has been issued in 28 areas, which falls in the very poor category of AQI. In these areas, Alipur’s AQI has been recorded at 289, NSIT Dwarka’s AQI at 212 and ITO’s AQI at 252.
Apart from this, Siri Fort recorded AQI-268, Mandir Marg AQI-206, RK Puram AQI-271, Aya Nagar AQI-224, Lodhi Road AQI-218, North Campus AQI-239, CRRI Mathura Road AQI-256, Pusa Road AQI-208, IGI Airport AQI-224 and Nehru Nagar AQI-274.
