Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked when she was conducting a public hearing at her Civil Lines residence. According to sources, the Chief Minister suffered minor injuries in the sudden attack. As soon as the information about the attack was received, the security forces swung into action and immediately brought the situation under control. Despite being injured, the Chief Minister appealed to the people present at the spot to maintain peace. 

According to media reports, an eyewitness said that the accused man slapped the Chief Minister. The accused has been taken into custody. BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemned the incident and said that public hearing is a medium to listen to and solve the problems of the public, such attacks in such programs are unacceptable.

The security personnel immediately caught the accused and took him into custody. At present, the police is interrogating the accused and the reason for the attack is not yet clear. After the incident, additional police force has been deployed in the area. Police officials say that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and the whole truth will be revealed soon.

Politics has also heated up after the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during the public hearing at the Chief Minister’s residence in Civil Lines. The Chief Minister suffered minor injuries in the incident and the accused was taken into custody by the security personnel on the spot. Reacting to this, Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav said, “This is very sad. The Chief Minister leads the entire Delhi and I feel that such incidents cannot be condemned enough. But this incident also exposes the reality of women’s safety. If the Chief Minister of Delhi is not safe, then how can a common man or a common woman remain safe?”
