Will GRAP Stage IV be imposed again?

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), the Center’s air quality panel, withdrew Stage IV limits under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) earlier on December 24. The CAQM said the curbs prescribed under stages I, II, and III would remain in force.

The GRAP Stage IV restrictions included banning all building operations, preventing nonessential polluting trucks from entering Delhi, and mandatorily shifting classes, except those for 10 and 12, to hybrid mode. In line with Supreme Court directions, Phase IV measures were initially imposed when AQI levels crossed the 400 mark on December 16.
