In Delhi, preparations are underway to open coach restaurants at four railway stations, including New Delhi.
The decoration work for New Delhi Railway Station is almost complete and will be ready in the next four to five days. There is a plan to open coach restaurants on the lines of aircraft restaurants at four railway stations of Delhi. These include New Delhi, Old Delhi, Chanakyapuri and Anand Vihar railway stations. The first of these coach restaurants is being opened at NDRS towards Ajmeri Gate. Here the coach has been installed in the station premises in October itself. Its external beauty and painting work has been completed. Now the work of decorating and giving the look of a restaurant is being done in the coach. In this, 30 to 32 people will be able to taste the dishes together.
Railway sources said that many types of delicious dishes will be served in this restaurant. In this, not only railway passengers but any person will be able to enjoy delicious dishes. These restaurants will soon be opened at other stations of Delhi also. Work is being done rapidly for this. Sources said that New Delhi Railway Station is going to be redeveloped soon. A tender is about to be floated for this, but this station will be demolished in different phases and the demolition towards Ajmeri Gate will take at least two years.
