Delhi Budget 2025: CM Rekha Gupta will present the Delhi budget today. This is the first budget after the formation of BJP government in Delhi after 27 years. Rekha Gupta has kept the finance ministry with herself. Therefore, the Delhi CM will present the budget. The total budget will be around 80 thousand crores. In preparing the budget, the Delhi government has taken suggestions from about ten thousand people.
A day before the budget, CM Rekha Gupta said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP is presenting the budget of Delhi after 27 years. Just like Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile, we have returned after 27 years. On this occasion, we offered kheer to Lord Rama, which is a symbol of the sweetness of Delhi’s development.
The budget will focus completely on developing Delhi. Along with this, there will be an emphasis on improving basic facilities along with education, water, cleaning of Yamuna, infrastructure, health, Mahila Samridhi Yojana, energy, transport, pollution. It is being said that the government has taken care of all sections in preparing this budget.
Before presenting the budget, the Chief Minister said that the budget will be a ‘people’s budget’, with emphasis on strengthening basic services and job creation. The Delhi government has received more than 10,000 suggestions from the people on budget provisions through email and a WhatsApp number released earlier. The consultation process was led by CM Gupta himself, who interacted with people from different sections of the society and got their feedback for the budget proposals.
Will work together with the central government
The CM said that the previous government created bitterness by promoting confrontation between the Centre and the Delhi government. This budget under the double-engine government will pave the way for a new chapter of development in Delhi. We will work together with the central government to address every pain and problem of Delhi. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, Delhi will taste the sweet taste of development.
5-day budget session begins with ‘Kheer’ ceremony
The 5-day budget session of the Delhi Assembly began on Monday (March 24) with a ‘kheer’ ceremony and on this occasion, BJP leaders said that ‘sweetness’ is a symbol of progress. CM Rekha Gupta is going to present the first budget of the BJP government in Delhi after 27 years. Participating in the ‘Kheer’ ceremony organized in the Delhi Assembly premises, CM Rekha Gupta said that for the first time in the history of Delhi Assembly, such a ceremony was organized before presenting the budget.
