Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) for digital health transformation. Through this system, all government health services in Delhi will become paperless, making all patient records available at a click. Under HIMS, the Delhi government has established 34 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and 8 Jan Aushadhi Kendras.

Digital records of OPD slips, lab test reports and medicines given for treatment will be prepared in government hospitals. Under this program, 34 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been established, as well as eight new Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened for affordable medicines. Now a total of 68 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are functioning in Delhi, which are located in Burari, Bank Enclave, Budh Nagar, Rohini Sector 4, Saket and other areas. These Arogya Mandirs will provide health services at the community level by the Delhi government.

This system will include 20 digital modules such as OPD/IPD registration, lab and radiology integration, electronic medical records, operation theatre management, inventory control and hospital dashboard. So far, training of OPD and IPD modules has been successfully completed in all hospitals. It is important to understand the difference between Arogya Mandir and Mohalla Clinic started by the Delhi government. What is the difference between Arogya Mandir and Mohalla Clinic?

Patient records in government hospitals will now be stored on a centralized cloud server. Earlier, patient data was entered manually, but under the new system, 20 digital modules will be implemented. These will include OPD/IPD registration, lab and radiology services, dietary services, hospital administration and electronic medical records. This means that if you have undergone a blood test in a hospital, the doctor will be able to see its information on HIMS even without the physical report.
