New Delhi: In a day the capital city has seen a drop, in the minimum temperature falling over three degrees. On Monday, the recorded minimum temperature was 14.6 degrees Celsius while on Tuesday morning Delhi experienced a temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius. This is actually two degrees below what’s usual for this time of year. Weather experts predict that the minimum temperature in Delhi could even dip further in the days and reach as low as nine degrees Celsius.
The current weather conditions in Delhi indicate that mornings and evenings are quite chilly with temperatures. However during the afternoon there is sunlight which helps to lessen the sensation. On Tuesday, Delhi had a temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius, which is considered normal for this season. Looking ahead, forecasts suggest that Delhi will have temperatures around 24 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures hovering around 10 degrees Celsius for the next four to five days.
According to experts from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) this fluctuation in temperatures can be attributed to factors. Their analysis shows that the city is currently experiencing a spell leading to these temperatures. This gradual decrease, in both minimum temperatures is expected to continue throughout the week.
The change in weather patterns might have an effect on the schedules of Delhi residents, which would require them to make some adjustments to adapt to the conditions.
While the mornings and evenings are characterized by a noticeable chill, the afternoons witness the emergence of strong sunlight, providing a temporary respite from the cold. Residents are advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and take appropriate precautions to navigate the changing temperature dynamics in the capital. This sudden drop in temperature serves as a reminder for individuals to ensure they are adequately prepared for the winter weather, reinforcing the importance of staying warm and healthy during this seasonal transition.
