Police entangled in investigation of bomb threat email
The bomb threats being received by Delhi schools and colleges for the last three days have made the situation quite challenging for the police. According to senior officers, these threatening emails have been sent through an ‘encrypted network’, making it extremely difficult to identify their source.
Delhi Police cyber experts and senior officers investigating the threats have said that the people sending the threats are resorting to ‘Virtual Private Network’ (VPN) and ‘Dark Web’. ‘Dark Web’ does not appear on normal search engines like Google and Bing and its access is possible only through special software. At the same time, ‘VPN’ is used to hide online activities.
