New Delhi: The Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) team to investigate medical equipment and drug scams in Delhi government hospitals on Tuesday seized several documents at Lok Nayak Hospital. In this large-scale scam, an FIR has been registered against 13 agencies working in six hospitals of Delhi Government.
The team questioned staffers and officials of the hospital, and also seized some documents related to the case, ACB senior officer said. The raid was conducted at the hospital for almost three hours. Responding to the same, the Delhi government in a statement said all the sub-standard items were brought from the central government’s portal called GeM (Government e Marketplace) ad added this should be investigated by central agency like CBI.
Earlier on January 5, an FIR has been registered under various sections of corruption on the complaint made by the Deputy Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department.
ACB sources said that the scam is to be investigated in Loknayak Hospital, LBS Hospital, DDU, SGM, JSS and GTB Hospital. 13 agencies were working in these hospitals. Different teams of ACB are investigating the hospitals. In this connection, the investigating officers went to Loknayak Hospital on Tuesday and took the documents related to the investigation in their possession.
