Yet, Bhardwaj was ruthless in his criticism of the Tihar authority, the BJP, the Centre, and the Delhi LG, whom he accused of holding insulin against Kejriwal, who needs it to control his Type-2 diabetes condition.
Enforcement Directorate’s statement that Kejriwal consumed mangoes along with aloo-poori and sugar in his tea aroused apprehension among the public, who began to believe that the sugar levels in his blood were artificially raised to manipulate his medical reports. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Kejriwal’s lawyer, counter-argued and stated that Kejriwal would never take the risk of disability for getting bail. The counselor debunked all the ED’s reports on receipt of mangoes in three of the 48 sent from home for pleasure.
During the court hearing, Kejriwal defended himself, stating that he only used sugar-free products in his tea. He denounced ED’s claims as false and malicious, asserting that his meals adhered to his doctor’s diet chart.
Bhardwaj reiterated the allegation of a plot to cause Kejriwal multiple organ damage, suggesting a scheme to seek treatment for kidney, heart, and other organs upon his release from jail.
