On Monday, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan made an acidic remark against RJD leader and the chief ministerial face of the Mahagathbandhan Tejashwi Yadav that the alliance would be the next government in Bihar. In reaction to the announcement made by Yadav that Mahagathbandhan would swear oath on November 18, Paswan responded by saying that there was no harm in watching Mungeri Lal ke haseen sapne, who had unrealistic dreams.

In an interview to the press in Patna, Paswan brushed off the claim of Tejashwi and termed it as overconfidence and stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was destined to be the government under the stewardship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. It is not a bad thing to dream, but on November 14, when the outcome will be revealed, the NDA will get back to power under the CM Nitish Kumar.

Tejashwi Yadav had previously stated that he is confident about Mahagathbandhan winning the election, saying that swearing in will be held on November 18, only days after the election results. Another promise he partook was that he would deal with crime in Bihar with an iron fist, by declaring that any person who engages in criminal or fraudulent activities will be arrested in the period between November 26 to January 26 no matter the caste or religion.

However, Paswan refuted the statements made by Yadav and indicated that people of Bihar had already decided to support NDA. He also condemned the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on his comments that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was being puppeted around by industrialists.

Paswan defended PM Modi by saying that everyone is aware of the strong decision making skills of the Prime Minister. This is due to his leadership that more than 25 crore people have stepped out of poverty within the past 11 years. This sort of unfounded observations by the Opposition is just symptomatic of its frustration.
