Raipur: The latest crime incidences recorded in the capital city have been worrying since the culprits appear to be acting unabated by the police force.
The crime wave in the capital city continues, with nine murders recorded in the last four days, including a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader stabbed and robbed on the night of 1st November. The actual occurrence was videographed through a close-circuit television, and the police were on the case. The incident in this case has been reported at DD Nagar police station.
The complainant, Akash Tiwari, is the rural vice president of Janjgir Champa, and he filed the report with the DSP of DD Nagar police station. The report stated at 9 pm on 1st November, three unknown men on a scooter threatened Akash with a knife and then took away his mobile phone and money.
When Akash took the call, his friend Prashant Pandey was also present, standing outside the office. When Prashant tried to come in between the organizers and the threatening attackers, the latter started to attack him with sticks and knives.
The robbers were noticed waiting at the restaurant after the attack had been completed. One of the robbers, who stole a mobile phone and Rs. 10,000, escaped, but after some meters, he stopped, probably waiting for Akash and his friend to alert them. Swara’s friend Akash and some of his buddies tried to confront him; the man stabbed Prashant and another friend, Shivam, using a kitchen knife.
They both got hurt and were taken to a nearby hospital, where they received treatment from the management. The matter was immediately conveyed to the police station at DD Nagar, and an FIR has been registered. The police are currently conducting investigations with the aim of arresting the people who conducted the attack.
The surveillance taken at the scene shows how the attackers conducted themselves in the robbery, mercilessly attacking the BJYM leader and his friends.
