The police department of Raipur district in Chhattisgarh had really changed its major command during the last day of the year and it was a huge change in assignment. Under this massive exercise of transferring 119 police officers, including Town Inspector (TI)-ranked police to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), have been transferred and assigned new postings.
This reshuffle involves transfer of 4 Town Inspectors, 18 Sub-Inspectors (SI) and 37 Assistant Sub-Inspectors and a few other personnel. Besides such transfers, the charge of 3 police stations in the Raipur district has also been transferred and this will be a significant change in the leadership of local policing.
Satish Singh Geharwar is the new Station House Officer (SHO) of Kotwali Police Station according to official orders. S.N. Singh has been transferred to Kabir Nagar Police Station, as the SHO and Sunil Das to Ganj Police Station as the SHO. The changes will enhance efficiencies of administration and better the law enforcement activities within the district.
In addition, the new Traffic Town Inspector, Bhavesh Gautam, has been appointed to this position with major responsibility in regulating traffic and road safety in the city.
Transfers were made by Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Lal Umed Singh. According to the authorities, the reshuffle will facilitate the efficiency of the operations, promote the quality of the coordination, and introduce the new vitality into the policing system on the district level.
The need to ensure transparency, improve morale, and address the needs of operations is one of the reasons why such massive administrative changes are undertaken. The officers posted to the new positions are supposed to take Office at once and strive to uphold law and order, besides providing effective public service to the Raipur District.
