Janjgir: A woman constable attached to the special branch of Janjgir City Police Chhattisgarh on Tuesday morning is suspected to have died by suicide by hanging herself at her residence. Police have identified the deceased as Seema Farre (30), a resident of the Janjgir Kotwali area. She was a female constable daughter of Maniram Farre and was posted in Janjgir’s SP office.
Farre used to live alone in the government quarters of Nilayam, the police colony. In the morning when neighbours saw the window, Seema Farre was hanging inside, seeing the neighbour informed the police. By the time the police arrived, Seema was already dead. The police have got the body down and sent it for post-mortem. Her family members have also been informed. Panchnama will be held after their arrival. It is being told that Seema Farre was working in the police for about 9 years. She was recruited as a police constable in the year 2013.
At present, the police are investigating the matter. They will also be interrogated when the relatives arrive. Senior Police Inspector said, “No suicide note was recovered. The probe is on. However, the cause behind the incident is not confirmed yet.”
