Raipur: Water supply will be suspended in 75% of the city’s areas on the evening of October 16th. The electricity department will implement a six-hour power outage due to maintenance work on the 33 KV line. This disruption will disrupt the power supply to the filter plant, preventing the city’s 42 water tanks from filling. After the maintenance work is complete, the corporation’s water department will begin filling the affected tanks at 5 p.m. Regular water supply will resume on the morning of October 17th, following the flooding.

In fact, before Diwali, the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Distribution Company is carrying out maintenance work on a 33 kV line. This will result in a six-hour power outage on October 16th. According to Narsingh Farendra, Executive Engineer of the Water Department, 42 tanks, which are filled from the 80 MLD, 150 MLD, and the new 80 MLD plant, will be affected. Therefore, there will be no water supply in the evening on October 16th. After regular water supply in the morning, the shutdown will occur from 10 am to 4 pm. These tanks of the city will be

affected: Dagania, Ganj, Gudhiyari, Rajendra Nagar, Telibandha, Shankar Nagar, Khamtarai, Bhanpuri, Idgahbhatha old tank and Shyam Nagar, as well as water tanks filled from 150 MLD plant, Bhathagaon, Changorabhatha, Kushalpur, DD Nagar, Idgahbhatha, Sarona, Tatibandh, Kota, Kabir Nagar, Jarwai, Gogaon, Mathpuraina, Lalpur, Amlidih, Avanti Vihar, Mandi, Mowa, Saddu, Daldal Seoni, Ramnagar, Kaichna, Aamasivani, Devpuri, Boriyakhurd, Jora, Bhanpuri new, Raipura, Kukurbeda and tanks filled from new 80 MLD plant, Baron Bazar new and Devendra Nagar new, Sanjay Nagar and Motibag tank, there will be no water supply in the evening after the water supply in the morning on 16th October.

After the maintenance work is complete, the regular water supply will resume on the morning of October 17. Additionally, water supply from other reservoirs and power pumps in the city will remain unchanged.

The Municipal Corporation’s Water Department will provide water tankers on demand through zones in the event of a disruption in water supply from the city’s 42 water tanks on Thursday evening. Residents are urged to conserve water as needed for the evening, during the regular water supply on the morning of October 16th.
