Farmers protested on the national highway 130C from early morning, blocking the highway 130C, demanding a paddy procurement center. The locals mentioned that they had been raising the issue for several years with no inaction, and they were forced to block the road. The protest took place near Dhawalpur, close to Sikasar Zero Chain, where a substantial number of villagers assembled.

Farmers from more than 15 villages under the Gram Panchayats of Ghataud, Begarpala, and Jungle Dhawalpur participated in the agitation. The protesters, led by District Panchayat member Sanjay Netam, consisted of both men and women. They stressed that they face multiple difficulties due to the lack of a local procurement center, and farmers are forced to transport their paddy to distant places to sell it.

On the other hand, Mainpur SDM and an in-charge from a corresponding police station reached the location against the backdrop to maintain peace and hold discussions with the agitating farmers. Villagers vowed that the agitation would not stop until their demand for the paddy procurement center in Paragaon Dih is fulfilled.
