The industrial policy with regard to the sessions 2024-29 in Chhattisgarh is being planned and developed by the state government. Major industrial organizations of the state were invited to a meeting organized by the Urja Industries Association on June 28 to deliberate and recommend chances for operational enhancement for better policy formulation.

Ashwin Garg, President of Urja Industries Association, agreed. He noted that while preparing URIA recommendations for the new industrial policies of Chhattisgarh, they went through the industrial policies of neighboring states like Odisha, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan and incorporated their suggestions. All big industrial associations were called to give their input during the meeting.

Ashwin Garg said that soon, all such recommendations would be compiled as a consolidated package to be given to the state government for the new industrial policy. The idea is to develop an industrial policy that can promote the establishment of the MSME industries not only at the district level but at the tehsil level as well for the optimum and bias-free industrial growth in sync with the state’s favorable agricultural and forest belts. This means that this approach seeks to foster employment for the denizens of the particular state apart from increasing the overall revenue collection.

He firmly believed that there would be other states industrialist coming up to invest in the IDA Chhattisgarh new industrial policy to boost industrial growth and furthermore have an impact on the state revenue.
