Chhattisgarh: At a time when India is set to ‘unlock’ its economy and business activities in most states, the rise in coronavirus cases has surged nationwide. As the number of coronavirus cases in Chhattisgarh is rapidly growing with each passing day, has crossed 500 mark with affecting 23 districts. Health Department has issued a new list of containment zone in the state.
According to the latest list, 16 out of 28 districts fall into red zone as the number of covid_19 cases has rose to new high in those areas.
On Monday, Health and Family Welfare Ministry released a new list demarcating the Red Zone in Bilaspur, Raipur, Raigarh , including Korba, Rajnandgaon, Ambikapur, Kawardha, Balrampur, Bastar, Bemetara, Jashpur, Kanker, Korea, Mahasamund and Mungeli.
Of these, Bilaspur is the worst affected, where Kota, Takhatpur, Masturi and Bilha development blocks have been included in the Red Zone along with the Bilaspur urban areas
The second affected district is Jashpur, where Pathalgaon, Udyan and Duldula development blocks have been included in the Red Zone. Two blocks each of Mungeli, Raigad, Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon districts have been included in the Red Zone. Notably, in the remaining districts, one area each is in the red zone.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh has reported 549 confirmed cases so far including 427 active cases, 121 has been successfully recovered. In the state, 1 dead registered due to coronavirus.
