Raipur: Cracking the whip on violators of the law, the district police have seized 4 country-made pistols famously known as Desi Katta in the past ten days.
Acting on the tip, officials from the Khamhardih police station nabbed the accused red-handed near Bhavan Nagar, Heera Petrol Pump.
According to information, the accused is identified as Kamran Ali and recovered 2 pistols and 6 live cartridges from his possession. The other seizure was sought from the former’s father Kasam Ali in Chandi Nagar, who also possessed a country-made pistol and 3 cartridges. The duo has been arrested and a case has been lodged under section 25 of the Arms Act in this connection.
