KANKER: Two BSF Jawan are seriously injured on Tuesday in an IED blast triggered by Naxals in Kagabaras, two and a half kilometers away from Chilaparas camp under the Koyalibeda PS limits in the Naxal-dominated area, Kanker.
The incident took place when a team of BSF Jawan was out on a road for a security operation, a senior official told. Confirming the blast, Kakner SP informed that the injured were shifted to a local hospital in Koyalibeda and later referred to Raipur. As per the details given by the senior officer, the IED was planted in a drain between Duda and Kagabaras.
The injured Constables have been identified as Sushil Kumar resident of Delhi and Chhotu Ram hailing from Rajasthan.
This is the second incident this week. Earlier on Monday, a CAF assistant platoon commander died in a pressure IED blast in the Bijapur district of the state.
