Rajnandgaon: The Superintendent of Police has suspended the station in charge of Aundhi police station on the allegation of demanding a bribe in the compensation amount to be received by the relatives after the death from snakebite. The brother of Tilkaram Yadav, a resident of Aundhi area, had died of snakebite a few months ago, whose initial treatment was done at Aundhi Health Center. After the death, the relatives had applied for financial assistance.

While the process of financial assistance was going on, in the meantime, the police station in-charge Taran Singh Daria had demanded Rs 50000 each for clearing the amount of compensation for himself and Dr Suman. In this case, there was a complaint at other places including the sub-divisional office. After this, taking cognizance of the matter, SP D Shravan has suspended Taran Singh Dahriya and posted Outpost in charge Mohar Sai Lahre in his place.
