Bijapur: 3 Naxals have been taken into custody by the police in the Naxal affected Bijapur district of CG, an official said on Tuesday.

According to sources, a joint anti-Naxal operation was carried out on May 9th by the Cobra 204 Batallion and the District forces near the hilly areas of Peddadharamaram and Empur. Reportedly three Naxals were apprehended in the forest of Empur.

The arrested Naxalites identified as Madvi Bhima Dharmaram, Madvi Nanda Pedda Dharmaram and Madkam Kosa Pedda Dharmaram were involved in the attack on the CRPF teams on April 24 in the Chintawagu camp area under Pamed police station area.
