RAIPUR: Three died in multiple accidents in Chhattisgarh. The first accident occurred in Raipur where a girl riding a scooter was hit by a speeding truck. As per police sources, the girl died on the spot.
As per inputs, Priyashri the deceased 26-year-old nurse resident of Harradipa village Jashpur was returning home from work when a high-speeding truck crushed her in the Devpuri area. A case has been registered against the truck driver for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The truck has also been seized along with the driver detained by the Tikarpara PS.
The second incident took place in Korba where a tractor hit a bike near Navapara High School under Kartala PS. The deceased identified as Shankar Mukherjee as per reports was a resident of Kharmora. A search has been lodged for the absconding driver. The victim is said to have died on the spot.
In another accident that took place in Jangir Champa district- a senior citizen was killed due to the negligence of a car driver. As per inputs an uncontrolled car hit two people, out of which one was an elderly man who died on the spot and the other was injured. The injured was immediately shifted to the district hospital.
Meanwhile a probe has been initiated in all the accidents and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
