Abhanpur: A major breakthrough in the case of robbery near a liquor shop in the Abhanpur police station area was made by the Abhanpur police when the accused were arrested. With a total value of around Rs. 4.5 lakh, these arrests led to the recovery of two motorcycles, a mobile phone as well as vehicles used in the crime, an Activa scooter and a Pulsar bike.

Dinesh Kumar Reddy, who complained that he was speaking on his mobile phone at Chhote Urla near English liquor shop on the night of February 20, gave the complaint. At that time, three unknowns approached him on a Pulsar motorcycle. They threatened him at knifepoint, robbed him of his mobile phone and Rs. 1,500 in cash and also his Yamaha R15 motorcycle before making away.

A team from the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit, as well as Abhanpur Police Station, questions the complainant and local residents as part of the investigation. According to the investigation, it was found that there was a suspect, Gagan Jatav, a resident of Abhanpur. Gagan was apprehended and questioned, where he confessed to charging the robbery, which he did with his associates Pramod Dahariya alias Vicky and Gulshan alias Monu Dahariya.

The police later pegged down Pramod and Gulshan and arrested them. During his questioning, the accused admitted to stealing a motorcycle from the Saraswati Nagar police station area. After the crime, the police recovered two motorcycles, one mobile phone and the Activa and Pulsar bikes used in the crime.

Interestingly, Pramod Dahariya has a prior record of kidnapping, assault and harassment filed against him, while Gulshan Dahariya was jailed earlier for assault. Headed by Abhanpur Police Station in-charge Abhishek Chaturvedi, the investigation was assisted by a team from the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Abhanpur Police.
