Korba: A theft incident was reported by the Manager of a Liquor shop located in Imli Chhapar area in Korba district in Chhattisgarh. Pandey. In his statement to the Police he said that the thief broke the wall of his shop last night and took away cash amounting to Rs. 22000 and branded liquor bottles. A video extracted from the CCTV installed in the shop clearly shows an unidentified person committing the crime.
However, the thief is seen covering his face with a cloth as a reason of which his identity could not be revealed. Interestingly, the shop’s security guard was on his duty when the incident took place. He is not aware of this incident at all. Meanwhile, Kusmanda Police have registered a case of theft and initiated the investigations. The manager also informed the police that the thief took away costly liquor bottles in particular.
This is not the first time a theft incident has been reported in a liquor shop in Korba. In May this year, cash worth Rs, 2 lakhs were robbed off from a liquor shop. The watchman was on his duty when the incident took place. However reports suggest that the watchman was sleeping when the thieves took away the cash.
