Bijapur: In Bijapur, a cycle of violence by Naxalites continues, with their attacks increasingly targeting educational workers. On Friday, a teacher in the Gangalur area was kidnapped, taken into the forest, and murdered. The rising number of these violent incidents is proving to be a significant challenge for the police and local authorities.

According to the information, Kallu Tati, an educationist posted in Nendra, was kidnapped by Naxalites on Friday evening while returning from school. He was murdered after being kidnapped late at night. The deceased was originally a resident of Todka village. 

On 27 August, Naxalites brutally murdered an educationist in Jagargunda police station area of ​​Sukma district. The incident took place in Mandimarka of Silger area, the name of the deceased was reported to be Laxman Barse. He was originally a resident of village of Pegadapalli of Bijapur and Laxman was working as an educationist in Silger.

This is the second cowardly act of Naxalites in the area in the last 24 hours. On Friday, a 27-year-old youth was brutally murdered about 20 kilometers away from the district headquarters. After the reopening of closed schools, 6 Shikshadoots have been established in Bijapur district and 5 in Sukma district.

The shocking incident happened just two days after Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma claimed that the surrender and rehabilitation of 30 Naxals in Bijapur is the result of the state government’s rehabilitation policy. Officials have confirmed that in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region, 30 Naxals surrendered and were rehabilitated, a number that is considered largest so far.
