Chhattisgarh: State CM Bhupesh Baghel is scheduled to inaugurate the Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme from his residence office today through video conferencing. The medical store will be opened at the Subash Stadium Complex Rajnandangaon district under the jurisdiction of the Urban Administration and Development Department.

Under this scheme, the residents of the 59 shops are being inaugurated where the residents would be able to purchase generic medicine at cheap rates. As per the scheme, the citizens would be benefitted from a discount between 50.9 per cent -71 per cent on the MRP of the medicines.

The state administration has planned to open 190 medical stores across 169 cities. The stores are directed to sell 251 types of generic medicines and 27 surgical products. Apart from this, the stores are also directed to sell Herbal products from the Sanjeevani of the Forest Department.

Earlier on October 19th, CM Baghel along with Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administrative Kumar Dahria, Forest Minister Mohd Akbar, MLA and chairman of Chhattisgarh State Home Construction Board Kuldeep Juneja and Raipur Mayor Ejaz Dhebar. Earlier during the day, CM Baghel also Baghel also inspected the herbal products at Sanjeevani- the store at GE Road Raipur. The store is dedicated to selling 120 types of herbal products from the minor forest produce of the state.
