Chhattisgarh: Amidst the speculations, about women being permitted to write the (NDA) National Defence Academy exams, the state had permit girl students to attend classes pertaining to preparation for the NDA exams.

On September 17, a motivational session was organized for the girl students of various government and non-government schools. Subsequently, on September 19, the selection test for free coaching was held by the district administration.

Sources reveal that regular coaching classes are being conducted in Swami Atmanand English Medium School Sector 6 from September 20, in which 11 girls are actively struggling to attempt the upcoming NDA exams.

The classes are being continuously supervised by Additional Collector Nupur Rashi Panna, Assistant Collector Hemant Nandanwar, District Education Officer Pravesh Singh Baghel and ADPO (Holistic Education) Abhay Jaiswal. The NDA exams will be held on November 14 this year. From Chhattisgarh 11 boys and 13 girls would attend the exams

This development from the state stems from the decision taken by the SC on Wednesday that squashed the government’s plea to defer females from attempting the NDA exams this year.
