Raipur: Following multiple complaints regarding issues in booking slots for COVID testing, the Chhattisgarh administration has announced 14 municipal areas that will conduct Rapid antigen tests from 13 May for a week.
On the direction of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, 49 check centres are set up which will conduct tests round the clock. 11 check centres have been set up in Raipur Municipal Corporation area, 10 centres in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area, 5 centres in Bhilai Municipal Corporation, 3 centres each in Durg, Rajnandgaon, Raigad, Korba and Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, two centres each in Chirmiri and Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation and one each at Birgaon, Dhamtari, Bhilai-Charoda, Risali.
11 screening centres set up in Raipur Municipal Corporation include Primary Health Centres at Khokhopara, D.D. Nagar, Hirapur, Gogaon, Rajatalabad, Devpuri, Mova, Bhatagaon, Bhanpuri, Gudiari, and District Hospital Pandri.
Likewise, in Birgaon a community health care centre has been established at Rawatbhata. A centre in Dhamtari Municipal Corporation has been set up at Urban Primary Health Centre Itwari Bazar.
5 Centres at Bhilai are set up at PHCs in Vaishali Nagar, Baikunthdham, Khursipar. Community Health Centre at Kohka and Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital Supela have also been authorized as test centres.
3 centres in Durg Municipal Corporation have been set up at UPHC Potia, Baghera, and Ayurvedic Hospital Dhamdhanaka.
3 Centres at Digvijay Stadium, Gandhi Auditorium, Padma Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium, Gaurav Path have been set up in Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation.
Similarly. 10 test centres in Bilaspur, 3 in Korba, Raigad and Ambikapur each, while 2 centres in Chirmi and Jagdalpur have been set up.
