Raipur: Raipur collector Saurabh Kumar constituted a COVID-19 Death Arresting Committee (CDAC) under the Chairmanship of Additional Collector Gopal Verma. The head of Chief Medical and Health Officer, Head of Department, Medical Department, District Hospital / Medical College, Raipur, subject experts have been made as members of the committee.
The applications for the CDAC can be submitted between 10 am- 5:30 pm. Following which the CDAC committee would examine the documents and forward them to the Tehsil office in Raipur for processing the release of funds Applicants are instructed to submit the CDAC certificate along with the other documents and residence proof for application of ex-gratia. The ex-gratia application form can be downloaded from www.raipur.gov.in. As per the notice issued the applicants will be informed to collect the CDAC certificate through an SMS. The state authorities have announced to accept applications until October 15.
Abiding by the notice issued by the centre, the Chhattisgarh administration directed all district collectors to release an assistance fund of RS 50,000 from the State Disaster Response Fund to the kin of the deceased during COVID-19. According to MOHFW, the state observed 13,568 COVID attributed deaths since the inception of the pandemic.
