Raipur: The state Congress party on Tuesday held a conference to discuss its strategies for the upcoming legislative assembly elections in 2023. The meeting was presided by CM Bhupesh Baghel. Party chief Mohan Markam, Congress election officer Hussain Umar Dalwai, and state in-charge secretary Saptagiri Shankar Ulka also attended the conference.
As per the information given in by close sources, the Congress election officer Hussain Umar Dalwai in a media interaction gave details on the membership program the party is running for the past 3 months. So far the party has welcomed 20 lakh members. It is learnt that the BRO and the DRO will be authorized to monitor elections at the district level.
The next Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election is scheduled to be held in or before November 2023 to elect all 90 members of the state’s Legislative Assembly. Bhupesh Baghel is the incumbent Chief Minister of the state.
